Going one step further

Lions lovers

We are a group of animal lovers who have lived in China, Taiwan and Singapore. We have visited the zoos of this three countries and verified the mistreatment that the animals suffer there and verified the deterioration of their life’s.

Going further

We are aware of the treatment these felines suffer in Circus around the world, how these animals have been sold in illegal markets, etc. so we want to do something to change this malpractice, help to free animals, and give them a better life.

Donations

Lauva means Lion in Latvian and the project was inspired by these gorgeous animals. Therefore, we wanted to create an opportunity to help felines have a better life through donations for The Lion Whisperer, the organization created by Kevin Richardson.

Let’s roar the city.

Let’s help us promote animal care

We will donate 50€ for every single bicycle purchased through this Kickstarter campaign plus a company donation every single time we reach certain goals. We want to reach 15.000 € to help minimize the number of large carnivores being kept in captivity and to highlight the direct link between the cub petting industry and the ‘canned’ hunting industry

… so If we sell 200 bicycles, we can reach our 15,000€ goal for donations!

Total Goal

The sanctuary’s ultimate goal is to minimize the number of large carnivores being kept in captivity and to highlight the direct link between the cub petting industry and the ‘canned’ hunting industry, by educating the unsuspecting public to the horrors associated with this unscrupulous practice.

Our vision is to raise awareness about the plight of lions and other carnivores in the wildlife and help prevent their habitat loss via human encroachment and conflict (revenge killing), unscrupulous hunting and illegal trade.

The sanctuary provides the animals in its care the ability to live out full lives, in an open and natural environment, by providing cutting-edge enrichment programs and health care.

Kevin is actively campaigning against the mass breeding of cubs for petting for the commercial tourism and volunteering industry that all too often ends up being hunted in the morally repugnant practice of ‘canned’ lion hunting.’

It is through education that the sanctuary aims to be able to transform attitudes and misconstrued ideas of carnivores and illuminate the desperate plight of the lion and their carnivore cousins.

The lion population occupies less than 20% of its former range in Africa. Scientists have started to settle on a number of 20 000. If allowed to carry on declining at the current rate we will have no lions left in the wildlife in as little as 20 years.
